I was a complete novice about the home buyng process. More daunting, however, was the fact that I had no idea what type of home I wanted, whether new or used, single family or condo. Over the course of several months, Mark showed me dozens and dozens and dozens of homes, never once becoming impatient over my inability to make a decision as to what home to purchase. With each listing visited, Mark provided expert knowledge of the neighborhood as well as in depth commentary about the quality of the home including resaleable features and construction quality. This information was invaluable especially the construction information as I had no experience with construction so could not distinquish a two-by-four from a four door sedan. In addition, Mark provided excellent references for every aspect of the home buying process, including, but not limited to, mortgage broker, home inspection company, plumber and escrow agent. Each reference was knowledgeable, personable and provided excellent service. In short, despite the stressful nature of buying a home, particularly in this economic climate, Mark made the process as painless as possible. If ever I have need of a realtor again, Mark is my only choice.

You couldn't ask for a more professional, courteous, patient, knowledgeable and helpful agent than this. We seriously lucked out with being able to work with such a qualified person through this often complicated, technical and anxious period of trying to purchase a home in this super competitive market. It is greatly appreciated for the amount of patience and compassion he had to help us understand the different steps along the way, often running over every line if we wanted to, even if he didn't have to (which other agents would generally just skip over). He broke down all the fancy contract and legal terms to make them relatable and practical, and never pushed any decisions on us, but rather let us digest the options and come to the conclusions that worked best for us.

And this was only the work that he did face-to-face or via direct communication. The work that he did behind-the-scenes, totally unasked for, saved us money numerous times over! Even when escrow was just about wrapped up, when most agents are getting ready to check out, Mark went out of his way with that extra effort to credit us with even more additional funds. Along the way, his negotiation over home repairs and other touch ups were firm yet reasonable, and they paid off. We were very happy with what he was able to get us, and minimize the damage of all those closing costs.

His ambitious and pleasant optimism are infectious, and we could tell that it spread throughout all parties involved. The selling agent, our lender, the escrow team, all had positive things to say about him. Which all makes for a smoother process where communication is key. His knowledge and judgment are impressive, but what separates Mark from the rest is his personality! You will be in great hands with Mark's help, we couldn't recommend him more highly.

Mark did a killer job helping us find a wonderful house in Oakland, even through the pandemic restrictions.

We met Mark at an open house he was running in Richmond about 2 weeks before the world started shutting down. We got together over Zoom, where he took the time to learn about us, what kind of house we were looking for, our concerns, our budget -- and to answer a boatload of our questions.

From that point all the way through closing (even beyond, really) he was a rock. We were repeatedly impressed by his work ethic (I couldn't believe the timestamps on some of his emails), his reliable and fast communication, and the care and patience with which he shepherded us through the process.

We ultimately bought a home that was being sold by the owner directly -- a process that basically meant Mark was doing the job of two realtors (cleaning up the seller's mistakes). Mark managed it expertly and without complaint.

The best way I could describe him is that he is ALWAYS on YOUR SIDE !!!

He is extremely knowledgable about everything from market price points, taxes, appraisals, properties projected values, comparison in the areas, etc. I could go on and on.

As first time home buyers we had a million questions even the day we met him and had our first introduction, where we shared what we were looking for in a house. He really went above and beyond answering emails, texts, etc to make sure we understood every single thing in the biggest decision of one's life.

His experience, insights, and ability to work efficiently and fast with all the documents and paperwork made our life so much easier !!!

When I say he is going to be ALWAYS on your side, I really mean it ! We had a very bad experience previously with a different realtor who wanted us to close with the lender she worked with, even when that what not the best decision for us. When we told Mark we were shopping for lenders, he not only was very supportive on our decision, but he made sure they received all the information about the properties we wanted to make an offer on so that they had accurate information and could give us the most approximate loan estimate possible.

He even informed our lenders about the property taxes and HOAs of the home we eventually purchased, and came with us to sign the papers with the escrow officer to make sure everything was correct.

Miles and miles traveled, and lots of time and effort were put into us that we don't really know how to thank him.
